Who’s Who on Mount Olympus?
Blood of Zeus stays true to its mythological roots by immersing viewers in the world of ancient Greece. Unlike some adaptations that modernize these classic tales, Blood of Zeus throws us into the heart of a bygone era, showcasing the harsh realities faced by humanity, regardless of their faith.
The series boasts a cast of iconic Greek gods brought to life by renowned voice actors. We’ve already encountered Zeus (Jason O’Mara), the king of the gods, alongside his fierce wife Hera (Claudia Christian). The mighty Poseidon (Chris Diamantopoulos) commands the seas, while the swift Hermes (Matthew Mercer) serves as the messenger god. Apollo (Adam Croasdell), the god of music and light, also makes a powerful presence.
The creative minds behind Blood of Zeus, brothers Vlas Parnapanides and Charley Parnapanides, are no strangers to mythological epics. Their passion for these stories is evident, having previously written the 2011 film “Immortals” and the Netflix adaptation of “Death Note.” While details and a full trailer for Season 2 remain under wraps, we can certainly expect another season brimming with breathtaking visuals, high-stakes conflicts, and epic battles.
Mark your calendars! Season 2 of Blood of Zeus premieres on Netflix on May 15, 2024.
