Firebombs and Fury: New Mexico Arsonist Targets Tesla and GOP in Shocking Attacks!

New Mexico Arsonist Targets Tesla and GOP in Shocking Attacks!

A wave of politically charged destruction has rocked New Mexico, culminating in the arrest of 40-year-old Jamison Wagner, accused of launching brazen arson attacks on a Tesla dealership and the Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) headquarters.

The U.S. Department of Justice is cracking down hard, vowing to prosecute Wagner to the fullest extent of the law with a potential 40-year prison sentence looming.

On February 9, 2025, chaos erupted at the Tesla Albuquerque Showroom in Bernalillo when Wagner allegedly set fire to two Tesla vehicles, leaving them engulfed in flames.

The attack didn’t stop at arson—court documents reveal vehicles and the showroom were defaced with inflammatory graffiti, including phrases like “Die Elon,” “Tesla Nazi Inc,” and swastika symbols, signaling a deeply personal vendetta. Investigators found homemade incendiary devices, including glass containers filled with a napalm-like substance, at the scene.

Just weeks later, on March 30, Wagner is accused of striking again, this time targeting the RPNM headquarters in Albuquerque. The front entrance was torched, causing extensive smoke damage, while graffiti reading “ICE=KKK” was spray-painted nearby. Federal authorities linked the two crimes through surveillance footage and Wagner’s white 2015 Hyundai Accent, spotted fleeing the GOP site.

The FBI and ATF swooped in on April 12, executing a search warrant at Wagner’s Albuquerque home. What they uncovered was chilling: a cardboard box containing eight assembled incendiary devices, materials matching the napalm used in the Tesla fire, and stencils tied to the graffiti at both scenes. “This arrest marks a critical step toward justice,” said ATF Deputy Director Robert Cekada, praising the round-the-clock work of law enforcement.

U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi minced no words, calling the attacks “nothing short of domestic terrorism.” She emphasized a zero-tolerance stance: “We will arrest you, we will prosecute you, and we will not negotiate. Crimes have consequences.” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche echoed her resolve, stating, “Hurling firebombs is not political protest—it’s a dangerous felony.”

The attacks come amid a broader surge of vandalism targeting Tesla facilities across the U.S., with some tying the violence to backlash against CEO Elon Musk’s high-profile role in the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency. Wagner, reportedly linked to the group “500 Queer Scientists,” now faces two counts of malicious damage or destruction of property by fire or explosives. If convicted, each count carries a sentence of five to 20 years.

Local leaders are calling for unity. “Politically motivated violence and vandalism are never acceptable,” said the Democratic Party of New Mexico in a statement, while RPNM Chairwoman Amy Barela thanked investigators, calling the GOP fire “an attack on the democratic process.” As Wagner awaits a detention hearing, the nation watches closely, grappling with the rising tide of politically fueled unrest.
